The Student Choreography Show is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Thrive dancers to step into the role of choreographer, collaborator, creative director—and bring their vision to life on stage. Throughout this guided mentorship experience, you’ll learn what it takes to build a piece from the ground up: from movement creation and casting to staging, storytelling, and leading rehearsals. Whether it’s your first time choreographing or you’ve got big ideas you’re ready to bring to life, we’ll meet you where you are and help you grow from there!
We’re elevating the experience with guest artists and tailored workshop sessions designed to meet dancers exactly at their level. Expect even more personalized feedback, inspiration, and creative development as you take this exciting next step in your dance journey.

Open to Senior Prep, Apprentice, and Senior Company dancers who want to choreograph and direct a piece.
Your choreographer registration of $200 includes:6 hours of workshop time with guest artists + Thrive favorites
1:1 mentorship and feedback sessions
20+ hours of guided rehearsal time
All performance costumes for your dancers
🕒 Rehearsals: All rehearsals will take place on Saturday afternoons between 1:00–4:00 PM. Each choreographer will be assigned a 2-hour block. Exact times will be sent in September after sign-ups, so we can create a balanced and efficient schedule that ensures everyone gets what they need—without spending the whole day at the studio.

Learn the ropes of sound cues, lighting design, stage management, and what it takes to run a seamless show behind the scenes.
