About this Performance Opportunity
At Thrive, we believe dance can be a force for connection and joy — not just for our own community, but for the wider community around us. The Holiday Performance Tour is our chance to bring that spirit of dance directly to the people who need a little extra joy during the holiday season: neighbors at retirement communities, folks gathered at public tree lightings, and friends throughout Louisville.
This is intentionally different from our spring recital. Where our end-of-season May/June recital is our big, traditional stage show, the Holiday Performance Tour is:
Lower-key — informal performances at community locations, not a full theatrical production
Lower-cost — a flat $45 fee that covers participation and costume rental
Lower-lift — no tickets, no seating charts, and dancers choose only the shows that work for their family's schedule
If your dancer is looking for the traditional big-stage recital experience, that's what our spring recital is for. The Holiday Performance Tour is about showing up, spreading joy, and being part of something bigger than ourselves — a little more relaxed, and built for the busy holiday season.

December Holiday Performance Tour Participation
The Holiday Performance Tour is open to all currently enrolled dancers.
Unlike recital, this performance tour is opt-in — we assume your dancer will not be participating unless you sign them up. There's no obligation to join, and no penalty for sitting this one out.
If you'd like your dancer to participate, you can sign up for as many or as few shows as you'd like — it's completely up to your family's schedule and preferences.
Holiday Tour Fees + Payment Plans
Participation in the Holiday Performance Tour is $45 per dancer. This flat fee covers:
Participation in as many shows as your dancer signs up for
Costume rental
Costume Return Costumes for the Holiday Performance Tour are rented, not purchased. All costumes must be returned by December 19, 2026. Any costume not returned, or returned damaged/lost, will incur a $75 fee.
Payment Options By default, your $45-per-dancer fee is due in full at the time of registration. If you'd like to spread the cost out instead, we offer two shorter payment plans:

Performance Locations
The Holiday Performance Tour includes a mix of performance locations across the weekend of December 4–6:
Public, outdoor locations (like Light Up St. Matthews) — these performances happen rain or shine.
Indoor, more limited locations (like retirement communities) — these venues have smaller audience capacities, so we'll ask families to be mindful of how many guests they bring.
Exact times, locations, and audience capacity details for each performance will be visible when you sign up in the Parent Portal.

How to Sign Up
Registration opens August 24, 2026 through the
When you sign up, you'll be able to:
See the time, location, and audience capacity for each individual performance
Choose which show(s) you'd like your dancer to participate in — sign up for one, a few, or all of them
Sign-up closes October 15, 2026. Because of the logistics involved in coordinating with our host venues and their staff, we're unable to accommodate late registrations after this date — please make sure to sign up by the deadline if you'd like your dancer to participate.
Here’s what to expect when registering:
Step 1: Log into your Parent Portal
Log into your Parent Portal to begin the registration process for the Holiday performance Tour.
Step 2: Navigate to the registration tab
Click on “Registration” - you can find that either on the top of the page or on the left side of the page.
Step 3: Select your performances + check out
Make sure you have “Holiday Performance Tour” selected. Once you do, you can check the boxes next to performance options per student, then complete registration.
