Position: Office Staff (Front Desk / Studio Support)

About the Role
Office staff are the heartbeat of Thrive. You are often the first face families see and the first voice they hear. Your warmth, clarity, and professionalism help families feel confident, supported, and excited to be here.This role blends hospitality, organization, communication, and care—especially for our youngest dancers.
Key Responsibilities
Weekly
Create a warm, welcoming environment for dancers and families
Open and close the studio using established checklists
Be present and visible during class transitions
Ensure all dancers leave with a parent or guardian
Answer parent questions with clarity and kindness
Support teachers and students as needs arise
Ongoing / As Needed
Shoe borrowing and fittings
Basic first aid (band-aids, ice packs)
Supporting young dancers with bathroom needs
Behavior breaks and emotional regulation support
Processing payments and merchandise sales
Preparing trial materials and welcoming new families
Light cleaning and studio upkeep
Quarterly
Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
Friendly, welcoming, and calm under pressure
Strong communication skills
Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
Patient and comfortable working with children

Most teachers begin their journey at Thrive through our substitute teacher list, which is the primary pathway to being offered weekly classes during the regular season.
About the Role
Thrive teachers are educators, mentors, and culture carriers. They create structured, age-appropriate classes that balance strong technical foundations with creativity, joy, and student connection.
This role may begin as a substitute teaching opportunity and grow into weekly classes as availability, fit, and studio needs align.
Key Responsibilities
Weekly / As Assigned
Prepare intentional, age-appropriate lesson plans
Teach assigned classes with professionalism, energy, and care
Create a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and focused
Manage classroom behavior with consistency and empathy
Communicate clearly with students, families, and staff when needed
Uphold Thrive’s policies, dress code, and studio culture
Seasonal / Annual
Attend dress rehearsal and annual recital weekend
Choreograph for recital as assigned or desired
Select recital music and costumes when applicable
Professional Development
Attend quarterly staff meetings and training sessions
Engage in feedback, growth conversations, and ongoing learning
Stay aligned with Thrive’s curriculum standards and teaching philosophy

Background in dance and/or dance education
Experience teaching children and/or teens (preferred, not required)
Ability to adapt instruction for varying ages and ability levels
Strong classroom management skills

Subbing allows us to:
Ensure strong alignment with our culture and expectations
Support teachers as they learn our systems and curriculum
Build trust and consistency for our dancers and families
As the season progresses and needs arise, substitute teachers are often invited into weekly teaching roles
