Pricing + Fees

We require a $45 non-refundable registration fee per family per year upon registering for classes.

We base tuition on a per-hour basis. The amount of tuition due each month depends on how many hours of class your dancer(s) take each week. We discount each subsequent hour of classes our dancers take. In addition, we offer a 10% discount on each sibling after the first.* Prices per hour are listed below**:
1 hour per week - $72 per month
1.5 hours per week - $98 per month
2 hours per week - $125 per month
2.5 hours per week - $150 per month
3 hours per week - $170 per month
3.5 hours per week - $185 per month
4 hours per week - $195 per month
4.5 hours per week - $200 per month
5 hours per week - $210 per month
5.5 hours per week - $215 per month
6 hours per week - $220 per month
6.5 hours per week - $230 per month
7 hours per week - $235 per month
7.5 hours per week - $240 per month
8+ hours per week- $250 per month
*For example, if the Smith family has 2 dancers, Charlie and Alice that take 1 hour each, Charlie’s tuition will be $72 per month, and Alice’s tuition will have the 10% discount and be $64.80. The Smith family will pay $136.80 per month for both dancers to take lessons.
**We believe that dance is for everyone and strive to make lessons accessible to every family. We do offer tuition assistance on a case-by-case basis. Please email hello@thriveschoolofdance.com if you’re interested in assistance.

Each holiday season, we offer an optional additional performance opportunity to all students. This community-focused performance tour allows for a low-pressure commitment with ZERO (yes, you read that right) extra rehearsals outside of class. We perform at local holiday events around town as well as non-profits and assisted living facilities. The cost to participate is $40 per dancer and includes a costume rental.
-
There are two fees associated with participating in our annual, non-ticketed recital:
Recital fee: $68 per family
Costume fees: Each costume costs between $72 - $75. We do our very best to minimize this cost to families while adjusting to fluctuating distributor costs each year. We want our dancers to be able to participate in this show. If costumes are extremely cost-prohibitive, please talk with a staff member and we will work with you to find a solution.
Both recital costs are non-refundable.

Tuition payments are due no later than the 15th of each month. We will assess a late fee of $35 after the 15th of the month, then a $50 late fee at the end of the month if a balance still exists. Families will get email reminders for any late tuition payments.
We encourage families to pay online and take advantage of the auto-pay feature to avoid late fees. Auto-pay will process on the 1st of each month for the entirety of our dance season (September through May) and will automatically stop after that season unless you re-enroll.
Thrive offers payment plans and up-front payment options for additional costs throughout the year like recital and costume fees, extra performance opportunities, etc. Families can select their desired payment plan online upon registering for classes.
Your monthly tuition price factors in all planned studio closures throughout the season, so you can expect the same tuition rate each month.

All dance families must sign the below liability waiver upon registering for classes:
I hereby waive and release Thrive School of Dance, its officers, agents, and employees, from and against any claims, suits, losses, or related causes of action for damages, including attorney’s fees and court costs, that may result from injury or death, accidental or otherwise, during, or arising from my child’s participation in a dance class, workshop, event or performance, including transportation to and from activities associated with the program, and any resulting illness and/or injury. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thrive School of Dance from and against any and all such claims. I recognize that the recreational events or activities entered into by my child can be dangerous to the child and I accept those dangers. In case of emergency, I give my permission for emergency medical treatment of my child and for transportation to such treatment.

All dance families must sign the below liability waiver (or request a no-photo waiver) upon registering for classes:
From time to time, Thrive School of Dance staff posts photos and videos of our students on social media and on our website to promote community and showcase the skills our dancers have worked so hard on. We respect the privacy and safety of our students and families and it's our policy to not tag our dancers online. By signing this release, you grant Thrive School of Dance permission to use photos and videos of your student(s) for advertising and publicity purposes, inclusive of our social media accounts, website, print advertising, educational videos, or streaming in connection with our events.

Students who miss class (due to illness or unplanned studio closures) are allowed to make up that class at an equivalent level class at any point in the season. Please speak with studio staff to determine the best options for makeup classes.
We do not offer makeup classes for planned studio closures like winter break or spring break. Those closures are factored into the monthly tuition rate.

Since we’re a monthly tuition studio, the longest you’re ever truly committed is one month at a time. If you need to drop any classes, please notify us (by email or text) before the first of the month to avoid being charged an additional month of tuition. We’re unable to offer refunds or pro-rated tuition for any dropped classes in the middle of the month.
